For Sale: 1987 BMW 635csi in Ellicott City, Maryland for sale in Ellicott City, MD
Vehicle Description This is one of several BMWs I've owned.
I bought the car in 2011 from an older couple in Washington state, it's s been in Maryland ever since.
Never driven in snow or on salted roads.
It's never been a daily driver, I've put approximately 45,000 miles on since I've owned.
It's been driven much less since retiring in 2018.
I've kept it under a car cover for at least the last 5
years.
The car was literally at my mechanics shop from Jan-Nov 2023.
Receipts will show extensive brake, cooling, suspension, and electrical work completed totaling $8,000.
Other work under my ownership includes; replacement transmission 2021 at about 220,000 miles, new drive shaft, struts/shocks, rear break pads, top end engine work due to broken valve, basically everything on top of the head replaced including timing chain, cam shaft, gears.
The head was not removed and machined because it wasn't damaged or in need.
The only suspension work not completed are the rear subframe bushings.
New battery Nov 22, oil change at that time.
Mechanically, the car needs nothing.
I've driven 500 miles since major mechanical and electrical work completed.
The brakes have never been better, the engine still runs very strong, 80mph comes on smoothly and easily, no oil burning or leaking.
Because of the cost of mechanical work, the body will have to be the next owners project.
The D in the gauge cluster needs a new bulb?, as does the on-board computer, the AC, used last in summer 2022, still blew cold and hasn't been converted.
I have a folder full of receipts from previous ownership through current.
Included is an original partial window sticker.
I don't have any under car, no lift access, but will take upon request, along with any other requests.
All leather is original to the car, except the passenger's seating area was replaced due to tears.
No tears in the driver's seat or rears.
The seat padding in the driver's seat was replaced.
Passengers door handle is cracked since I've owned and I've covered with electrical tape to contain any spreading.
The power head rests are the only items that don't work.
The dash has cracks, but in mostly very good condition.
Pictures will show all interior, trunk, engine compartment.
17 M3 Contour wheels came with the car, I have an original in the trunk.
Tires are Cooper all season 225x50x17 Brakes are all OEM, front pads and rotars are new January 2023, as are most components of the brake system.
I have receipts for all brake system work completed this year.
Rears are older, but did not require any attention, other than a new brake sensor.
All glass and panels are original to the car.
