Job Summary
Successful candidates will have a passion for wine and the ability to express those characteristics to our guests. In addition, a solid background in retail sales with a commitment to deliver customer service beyond expectations is vital. The Retail Beer & Spirits Sales Associate is responsible for customer service; product knowledge, selling skills, operating a computerized POS system, serving the public in the retail sales of beer, wine and spirits.
General Accountabilities
Sells Wine to the general public which involves; maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all wine, beer and liquor products, responding to customer inquiries and concerns, stocking and rotation of store shelves and ensuring all products are properly displayed and processing of special orders
Suggests selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasizes selling points.
Provides friendly customer service in a fast paced, physically demanding, multifaceted role; efficiently processes high volume transactions on a computerized POS system.
Receiving and handling stock, merchandising, maintaining selling floor, applying surveillance for underage, intoxicated persons and shoplifters, and assisting in other duties.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Must be able to work well with other employees
Job Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum
Experience: 1-2 years of retail experience
Preferred
Experience: 2-3 years or combined education and experience.

Adhering to policies and procedures as they relate to retail store employees
Provide customer service, including but not limited to: finding items on shelves, recommending and selling merchandise to customers, and carrying merchandise to vehicles
Performs general cleaning maintenance at the liquor store, including but not limited to: setting up and dismantling displays; dusting shelves, displays, etc.; vacuuming and sweeping floors; removing snow from walkways; removing trash from store; cleaning store and cooler windows; washing shelves and bottles; and cleaning restrooms

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, customers, and the general public.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
