We are Southern Maryland's leading organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and the promotion of positive mental and behavioral health through crisis intervention, therapy and education.
With programs and services for the entire family, our team provides individual and family therapy, play and group therapy, mental health evaluations, psychological testing, and more.
POSITION DESCRIPTION The Care Coordinator is responsible for connecting clients to appropriate community resources and monitoring/evaluating outcomes.
This includes meeting with a case load of up to 20 clients each month, to evaluate concerns, needs and psychiatric emergencies as needed.
This is a full-time, exempt position, reporting to the Howard County Case Management Supervisor.
Schedule - day shift and two evenings/wk (per caseload) Pay - $40,000 - $42,000/yr, based on experience PERKS Paid holidays! We have 11 scheduled holidays and 1 floating/birthday holiday! $1,500 health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) funded by CFC to cover qualifying medical expenses each plan year.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS BA/BS degree in mental health or human services fields (i.
e.
human services, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, etc.
).
Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (speak, read, write) Ability to handle stressful situations.
Understanding of cultural diversity.
Ability to observe and accurately report the functioning of children and families.
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance Successfully complete State and Federal background investigation and drug test KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain an active case load of a maximum of 20 clients per month.
Conduct a minimum of two face to face meetings per month with each client.
Complete documentation and maintain files per COMAR regulations within allotted time frames.
Conduct intakes, comprehensive assessments, and re-assessments Develop Plan of Care (POC) that identifies goals and interventions.
Provide supportive counseling and advocacy for clients; engage clients in the problem-solving process.
Advocate on the behalf of the client with external agencies, request supporting documentation from therapists, schools, doctors, or other agencies Represent the program to outside agencies, including the Local Behavioral Health Authority.
Complete a minimum of 40 hours of training in the area of case management or topics related to client care/self-care.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
