Position
Summary:
A Sales Associate works directly with the store managers and the store team to meet or exceed company goals through teamwork.
A Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring that each customer has an exceptional experience by understanding and consistently executing the S.

process and all daily store tasks as assigned while following store policies and procedures.
Sales Associates are required to work 40 hours a week and take a break each workday based on MD labor laws.

Responsibilities:
Resolves customer issues and answers questions; Drives sales through the engagement of customers; Suggestive selling and sharing product knowledge; Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner; Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise; Directs customers by escorting them to aisles and counters; Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of ACE Reward member sales and perks; and Serves as backup Cashier, as needed.
Communication:
Ensure open, professional, and clear communication.
Relay issues in a constructive way and help solve issues with guidance.
Accountability:
Show up on time, be reliable and flexible in working the shifts scheduled, find replacements for shifts, and complete job responsibilities each day with accuracy and thoroughness to protect company assets.
Coaching and Training:
Meet with a manager monthly on development for growth.
Complete a minimum of 1-2 hours of Ace Learning Place classes each month with direction and approval from management to master knowledge in each department.
Ace Rewards and B2B:
Actively engage each customer in asking if they have an Ace Rewards card or have a business account.
Sign the customer up or pass on the lead to another associate to complete.
May be required to work overtime and/or on weekends, as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The Full-Time Paint Sales Associate will be responsible for additional paint specific duties to include but not limited to:
Assists customers with paint identification and matching the correct paint to the customer's home; Assists customers in selecting the appropriate type of paint, such as latex or oil-based, and color tones; Explains the various types of paints such as primers, sealers, and stains; Provides customers knowledge of prepping the work site for painting, which includes carrying out duties like sanding, patching, caulking, and cleaning; May be required to conduct demonstrations in paint application; Responsible for maintaining the workflow, by taking paint from the paint room to the sales floor and restocking supplies; and Acts as a liaison between the customer and the ProServices Coordinator on business-to-business matters.
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service or cashier experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Standing is required constantly.
